Mad Dragon Recording artist Kuf Knotz has won College Label Release of the year from the Independent Music Award’s fan-vote. Kuf's record,Boombox Logic, which was released last year on Mad Dragon Records, was awarded the top spot based on more than 60,000 voting fans. The award was part of the vox pop poll and the outcome was decided entirely by fans.
Boombox Logic features notable tracks such as “Sunny Philadelphia,” an anthem to Philadelphia, “Unstoppable,” which was played at the 2008 World Series and proclaimed The Phillies Official Song, and “Summa Funk,” featuring G. Love on vocals and guitar. A native Philadelphian, Kuf was discovered by legendary Sound of Philadelphia producers Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff, who signed him to Philadelphia International Records. In 2010 Kuf signed as a solo artist with MAD Dragon Records. Congratulations to Kuf and to the hard-working students and faculty of Mad Dragon Records on this terrific achievement.
